Company Profile
Degradable Solutions AG is specialized in the development and manufacturing of degradable medical implants. Over 20 highly specialized employees guarantee a high expertise in every development step. GMP cleanroom production with state validated analytical methods ensure the high quality of our sterile products.
In the sesction OEM/Ortho we work in close collaboartion with MedTech companies, which entrust us with the development and manufacturing of their resorbable products, such as tissue fixation implants and synthetic bone graft substitutes.
In the dental section, we provide synthetic bone graft substitutes to distribution partners worldwide.
The company was founded at the beginning of 1999 as a spin-off company of ETH Zurich. The founding of DS was supported by the Start-Up!-program of the Swiss National Commission of Technology and Innovation (KTI). The founder of DS, Dr. Kurt Ruffieux, has worked for nearly 20 years in the field of degradable biomaterials.
Degradable Solutions AG works in close collaborations with companies from the medical industry, with research institutes and with surgeons.
